Natural conditions of Belyaevsky district characterized by smooth relief, arid steppe climate, considerable deposits of building rock, sand, brick, ceramist and carbonate raw materials, variety of Khadzibey and Kuyalnik estuaries, famous by salutary mud, also rivers Dniester and Turunchuk, lots of lakes, rich on fish and crayfish. 

Main treasure of Belyaevsky district  is its land resources represented by fertile black earth soil that in combination with warm steppe climate form high rural-industrial potential for the district. 

Nature-protected sites

Park "Dniester" is a park – monument of garden-park art of local significance.

It is situated in the Dniester flux in the Dniester delta, in the territory of Belyaevsky, Ovidiopolsky and Belgorod - Dnestrovsky districts of Odessa Region. Interfluve of the Dniester and its branch Turunchuk belong to the International list “Ramsarskie lands”. More than 10 breeds of dwelling creatures in the Dniester flux are taken in the European Red List, more than 40 in the Red Book of Ukraine. Dniester Flux is the main place of feeding glossy ibis and pond herons, flux is also spawning ground for many breeds of fish.

Reservoirs

It is situated in the Dniester flux in the Dniester delta, in the territory of Belyaevsky, Ovidiopolsky and Belgorod - Dnestrovsky districts of Odessa Region. The Dniester Delta is a unique ecosystem of the Black Sea region  of Ukraine. On the area of more than 220 sq. km one of the biggest overflows land massif of the Black Sea region is situated. Channels, canals, tens of lakes, warm and comfortable climate create unique conditions for flora and fauna. It is situated in 40 km from Odessa.

The Beloe Lake, situated in the Dniester Delta, is connected by channel with the Dniester River and its branch Turunchuk. The Beloe Lake is the unique biotype, on its territory rare plants grow (white lily, caltrop, water lily, mint) and many birds.

Turunchuk branch was created in 1780 – 1785. It branches off Dniester water-way near Dniester village Chobruchi. At an entrance in the branch stone ridge forms rapids, its water noise is audible in 300-500m. Then it flows near villages Glinyanoe, Krasnoe, Nezavertailovka and again falls into Dniester at 20th km from mouth near Belyaevka.

Numerous lakes of Belyaevka outskirts – Beloye, Safyani, Tudorovo, Putrino, Pisarskoe, Krugloe, Dragan – are rich with fish and crayfishes.

About the district

Today district is one of the biggest (4,5% of region territory). It directly adjoins to the region center borders from one side and to the Republic of Moldova from the other. Also, the district's territory borders with Razdelnyansky, Ovidiopolsky, Ivanivsky, Kominternovsky disticts.

Besides Dniester, Baraboy river flows through the Belyaevsky district territory. Hadzibey and Dnistrovsky estuaries are important to be distinguished from water resources of the district.
